Abhyanga Massage, Integrative Massage, Ayurvedic Yoga, Ayurvedic Education Consulting, Deep Tissue Massage, Private Yoga Sessions
Danielle has been interested in the field of healing for several years. At the age of 25, she started her own non-profit agency where she brought together the healing powers of the arts with people with developmental, physical and emotional challenges. After seeing the benefits of teaching yoga/meditation and relaxation to this population, she became certified as a yoga teacher in 2004 and has been teaching ever since. Graduating from the California College of Ayurveda in 2008, she received her education as an Ayurvedic Health Educator where she is able to educate the community about the principles of Ayurveda and how to incorporate that into your everyday lifestyle. She has studied with Dr. Halpern, an internationally known Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Founder of California College of Ayurveda, receiving a certificate as an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist where she incorporates the foundations of Ayurveda with yoga asanas, pranayama and relaxation techniques.
Danielle graduated from the Asheville School of Massage and Therapy in 2010. As a massage therapist, Danielle integrates myofascial, swedish, deep tissues and trigger point therapy. She enjoys individualizing the massage style with that of the clients needs. She has found massage therapy to be an integral part of healing and well being.
Danielle now offers Abhyanga (warm herbal oil massage that brings nourishment to tissues) and other Ayurvedic spa treatments such as Garshana (dry brushing skin) and Swedana (steam tenting with herbs which is great for detoxification).
In October of this year, Danielle will have the opportunity to study with David Crow, internationally known master herbalist, aromatherapist and Ayurvedic Scholar to delve deeper into aromatherapy and using essential to help bring mind, body and spirit in unison.
Danielle lives in Black Mountain with her husband and two young children. Danielle loves traveling, hiking and helping others. She has found this path of yoga, ayurveda and massage therapy one she feels unbelievably lucky to be on.
