Central to my practice is paying special attention to diet and lifestyle, as well as the use of nutritional and herbal formulas to remedy both acute and chronic imbalances and to prevent disease. Remember, prevention is the best medicine.
I have been an herbalist for almost ten years. Though I began my journey into herbalism as a Western herbalist, I expanded my herbal repertoire into Eastern herbal traditions when studying for my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I now integrate botanical medicines from around the world.
As an herbalist and practitioner of Chinese medicine, I use tongue and pulse assessment to help paint of picture of where the bodies imbalances may lie and what herbal or nutritional therapies need to be applied to re-establish balance. As part of my intake process I also perform a rigorous symptom and lifestyle assessment to help find where there might be “holes in the gas tank”. This process is known in Chinese Medicine as “questioning”.
I customize dietary suggestions according to the clients blood-type, genetics, and Chinese medical presentation. The lifestyle recommendations I make often focus on the importance of electromagnetic hygeine and circadian health.
I also offer telehealth consultations to those living anywhere in the world!
